What the heck have I been up to!

So much has been going on in my personal life!

We just began construction on our new home in Cave Creek! After 18 months of designing and permitting, we finally broke ground on our new home in Cave Creek. We are so excited to get started. The bummer is that we had to move from one rental home to another. Moving is never fun, but on the bright side, we are becoming more minimal, sifting through what we really need to keep and what can be donated. Let's just say I really channelled my inner Marie Kondo.

Our kids are making moves! Our three children are making the transition from being kids to mini adults. It is definitely bittersweet, but we love watching them grow and learn. We're becoming more like consultants as they begin to make their own life decisions, and it's exciting to see where life takes them. After leaving Indian Wells, I decided to skip my trip to the Miami Open and went with my youngest son to Rocky Point, Mexico for spring break! I've heard horror stories about what a complete shit show it can be, but it was so fun spending time with him before he leaves for college in the fall. Any opportunity to spend time with your kids, regardless of where it may be, is something to take advantage of.

Throughout all of the chaos, I've kept up with the tennis world. I was saddened by the retirement of Ash Barty, and was truly hoping to witness epic battles between her, Naomi Osaka and Iga Swiatek. Her example is poignant. If something doesn't make you happy, you don't have to do it. I'm looking forward to seeing how her retirement plays out. She's such an incredible athlete. Maybe we'll still get to see her in the sports world, be it golf, cricket, or another sport she's amazing at!

I watched Iga complete the sunshine double with a naivety only young athletes have. She's simply winning matches, she knows that's her job. The rest of us are more aware of how incredible her domination has been. The same goes for Carlos Alcaraz. As we head to the clay season, I only see these two becoming more dominant!
